CULTURE OF SALMONELLAE FROM STOOL

The sample is examined for salmonella.

Sampling

Defecate on a suitable surface (e.g. a disposable plate). Fill the sample container halfway with stools and close the lid tightly. Put the sample container inside a plastic bag.

The name label is necessary for identifying the sample

Stick a label on to the sample container and tube. Write on it:

• your name
• your social security number
• date of sample

Store the sample container in a refrigerator.

Deliver the sample to the laboratory as soon as possible (no later than on the next working day).
